Therapy for Therapists – Retreats

Self-care is utterly essential for any therapist. Not looking after ourselves is a trap that is easy to fall into, be seduced into or be pressurised into. Actually looking after ourselves is something that we can forget to attend to, put off until later, feel guilty about or push to the bottom of the list – sometimes until we get to a crisis point and realise that self-care is suddenly non-negotiable if we don’t want to completely melt down.

Maybe you are feeling close to melt down, or perhaps you have decided to bump up your self-care in order to break a cycle of over-doing it, you might have achieved some personal goals and be ready to reward yourself with some well-earned self-care, or you might be responsibly initiating strategies to avoid exhaustion and embrace balance and well-being! Whatever your reason, any of these is a totally viable reason to engage in the nurturing and holistic experience of looking after yourself while you learn.

Each year, I co-facilitate at least one retreat. I would love to hang out with you in these informal and easeful settings while we care for ourselves in a safe and supportive community of holistic practioners in beautiful settings.

2019 is well and truly underway……. and what better time than NOW to plan your September self-care and professional development in beautiful Ubud!

The theme for this year’s retreat is ‘The Spirituality of Psychology’. I will be there along with wonderful Nic Morrey and the team, including Jonine Lee Gabay, Paul North & Ketut Arsana. What an amazing complimentary range of skills and therapeutic approaches we have to share with you.

Nic shares his depthful understanding by helping us map our way through the territory of integral psychology and spirituality, Jonine is a master facilitator in breath work and family constellations action methods, Paul is a fountain of knowledge on Polyvagal therapy, Ketut is a traditional local shaman who joins us for yoga and healing sessions… and I will be there too with art based workshops where we use mask work, installation, ritual and drama to facilitate personal, intergenerational and transpersonal change, continuity and healing.

The Bali retreat is such fantastic value, only $1599 that INCLUDES your accomodation at Melati Cottages in Ubud, and a week of self-care and professional development workshops worth 30 CPD points!

We have a fantastic time at this retreat every year, I am already looking forward to it and I totally encourage you to come along and spend some time with us. Look after yourself and learn!!!!
