‘Kinder than Before’ (after a poem by Donna Ashworth)

I’ve set up a Messenger chat-group with my close friends, ‘Cheerful Covid Captives’. We exchange Covid-inspired memes, jokes, and news. We bolster each other with ideas and hopes. We also use it as a space to nurture our creative energies. This postcard size painting, ‘Kinder than Before’, is one of a series I am producing as an arts journal, ’The Corona Diary: Real Art with Real Poems for Unreal Times’. I am drawing upon the wisdom of poetry to create my daily art images. These small acts of art are gifts of life and love.
