Taking place on Boon Wurrung Country, we pay our deepest respects to the Boon Wurrung People, their Ancestors, and Elders. We honour their ongoing commitment to care for Country and practice Culture here.

This forum and retreat is designed specifically for creative and experiential therapists, counsellors, psychotherapists, health and allied health professionals, educators, and caring professionals who are interested in understanding more about creative approaches in mental health care. The program and structure of this event are guided by our core values of cultural awareness and safety, diversity and inclusive practice, creative and experiential approaches, community and peer-to-peer learning, and sustainability. We believe in offering you an opportunity to look after yourself, learn, enjoy good company, and have some restorative time in the living world.

This event is your chance to connect with your creative tribe and learn about approaches and modalities that you can take into your own creative mental health practice. It’s a unique experience that blends professional development with opportunities to collectively care for our own wellness as a community of practitioners with shared values and ethics.

Located just two hours’ drive from Melbourne, the retreat will take place in the beautiful surrounds of the Bass Coast Bunurong Marine Park and the coastal township of Inverloch.

From Friday 3rd May 2024 to Monday 6th May 2024, you will have the chance to immerse yourself in a supportive and nurturing environment.

The program includes time for creative self and collective care, allowing you to relax and rejuvenate. You will have the opportunity to engage in various creative activities, such as art therapy, music therapy, drama therapy, and more. These experiential approaches will enhance your understanding of how creativity can be utilised in mental health care.

Be inspired by an exciting  range of radically creative facilitators who will share their insights and experiences in the field of creative mental health. You will have the opportunity to engage in hands on learning with renowned professionals, and gain invaluable skills and understandings to incorporate into your own practice.
