The workshop will begin with an art-based exercise to get our creative songwriting juices flowing and to generate some key words and themes for our collaborative songwriting process, followed by an inclusive, non-judgemental and playful approach to improvising poetry to create the lyrics for our song.
We will then put these words to melody and share our voices along with musical instruments and body percussion to create a harmony of souls.
Brodie’s intention for this workshop is to offer an opportunity for authentic self-expression and deep listening while fostering a sense of community and belonging.
She hopes you will join her for some Songwriting for the Soul!
