Memories.

Tomas Centeno. (05/09/2020). “Memories”. I used watercolor and brushes applied on bond cardboard. Size: 31 cm X 23.4 cm. I am Venezuelan, born in Zaraza – Guárico state, currently living in Caracas.

“Memories” is an artwork that I made in 1991 and because it was damaged I took the opportunity to restore it. In this work I try to symbolise our path through life. The rose in the vase represents each one of us, the bouquet of pine are the ones who accompany us throughout our lives, the vase represents the family that protects and supports us to a certain level where we then take a course without losing the support. The dark curtain represents the darkness of the world and the little lit candle is the light source that gives us insight. The rose in the inn represents everything that comes from us and the orange is everything that we receive and welcome in our lives.
