I see you, I know that you are sad that life as you know it: has gone.

Art Therapy Supervision

Carolann Vassallo, (Created during March – April 2020  whilst staying at home due to the COVID19 restrictions). “I see you, I know that you are sad that life as you know it: has gone”. Art work was created through collage and paint on A3 paper in my Art Journal. Australia.

I felt drawn to the creative process with the need to express and give voice to my feelings, art allowed me to be witness to my despair, grief and loss.

(This image immerged though collage, it was a powerful moment when I realised the female figure in the art was me.)

This is my story. I see you, I know that you are sad that life as you know it: has gone.

Carolann, circles, circles, everywhere. They take up so much space, much more than the central little figure. The eye at the top of the page is closed. It evokes feelings in me of closing my eyes to block out the world, of going inward, of staying in bed, and of silent tears.
