Alana Stewart, AThR. It is oil pastels. Made on 21/3/20. In a small a5 sketchbook. Outer suburbs Melbourne, Australia.
I was feeling worried about the growing cases of covid-19 in Australia and what will happen to our community. I got out some oil pastels I keep in my bedside table and made a sketch of a face. Then the colours and scribbled lines around it reminded me of the virus and the feeling of being surrounded by an “invisible enemy”.
