Supervision: an art in itself

A practice of reflection, relationship and renewal

Supervision with me is a creative, reflective partnership — a space to pause, make meaning, and stay connected to the life of your work. I bring more than twenty-five years of experience as a Creative Arts Therapist, Registered Clinical Counsellor, Supervisor, Educator, and Researcher, grounded in a profound trust in the intelligence of process — through which image, story, and embodied wisdom unveil the rich spectrum of colours, sounds, and feelings that words often only hint at or can scarcely contain.
I am a PACFA Registered Clinical Counsellor and Accredited Supervisor.

My Approach to 'Super'

My supervision approach integrates strengths-based, narrative, creative, experiential, and embodied ways of working. Supervision centers on presence, ethics, embodied wisdom, and care. It emphasizes genuine engagement and moral responsibility over specific methods.

Our work together may include reflection, art-making, dialogue, or mindfulness — all in service of strengthening your capacity to be fully alive and responsive in your professional life. The supervision space is confidential, compassionate, and creative.

Supervision for Creative Therapists, Counsellors and Psychotherapists

I work with creative therapists, counsellors, psychotherapists, and allied health professionals who want to sustain depth, vitality, and integrity in their work. Supervision becomes a space to explore the art of therapeutic practice — where ethics, creativity, and embodied wisdom meet.

Whether you work in independent practice, community settings, education, or health services, our sessions help you stay resourced, grounded, and connected to the things that first drew you to this profession.

Supervision for Early-Career Practitioners

For new graduates and emerging practitioners, supervision provides an essential anchor during the transition from training into professional life.

Together, we build confidence, clarify your professional identity, and strengthen your ethical and reflective foundations. We also explore the personal and systemic challenges that often arise — from navigating institutional pressures to processing disillusionment — so that you can turn those experiences into clarity and purpose.

My intention is for you to leave supervision feeling more grounded in yourself, better resourced, and more connected to why your work matters.

Supervision for Students and Researchers

I offer supervision for postgraduate students in counselling, psychotherapy, and creative arts therapies who want to bridge theory and practice, or strengthen their academic writing. These sessions support you to refine your reflective voice, integrate lived experience into scholarly work, and gain confidence in the craft of writing.

For those undertaking arts-based or practice-led research, I offer mentoring that supports both the creative and scholarly dimensions of your inquiry. Together we ensure your research stays rigorous, authentic, and alive.

Early Bird Supervision

Are you a morning person?

These quiet sessions are for practitioners who value beginning the day grounded and connected — a space to breathe, notice, and orient toward what matters in your work and life.

Early Bird Supervision invites you to bring your cup of tea, your journal, and your stories of practice — to start your day in good company.

Sessions are one-to-one, available online or in-person by arrangement.

In-Person Supervision Days — Inverloch

Need a creative mental health day for yourself perhaps?

While most supervisees meet with me online, some choose to travel to Inverloch for a face-to-face session in my coastal studio.

These visits often become personal retreat days — a time to step out of routine, walk on the beach, and reconnect with your own creative rhythm.

You can combine your session with lunch, a nature walk, or a visit to one of our local day spas or vintage shops.

In the quiet, private studio, you have access to all my art supplies and equipment to craft, express and construct your own wellbeing.

Whether our work draws on narrative, creative, or embodied approaches, an in-person supervision day in Inverloch allows time to slow down, integrate, and return to your work with renewed clarity and vitality.

If you feel called to make a day of it, you can explore the region here: Visit Inverloch.

You’re welcome to treat your session as a mini-retreat — a spacious pause to reflect, replenish, and return renewed.

It’s where we reconnect with our values, with each other, and with the wisdom at the centre of our work.

I’d love to welcome you into a space where reflection and creative process meet.
