I am happy to announce that, in response to requests and need, I have developed a calendar of continuing professional development training opportunities. These six hour intensives run one Sunday a month at CERES Education Centre in Brunswick, Melbourne. I have tailored the themes to:
· reveal what I have learned through my art based Doctoral research, “Seeing Her Stories”
· address identified gaps in art therapy education programs
· share my experience, learnings and new understandings with you
· give you skills and information you really need and want to know
· consider the implications of art based methods that are indigenous to art therapy
· practice how we can use these deepened understandings in our work.
28th July: “Presence and Embodiment in Art Therapy”
25th August: “Meeting Places: Art Based, Collaborative Goal Setting and Therapeutic Reviews”
22nd September: “The Art of Relationship, Connection and Co-creation”
27th October: “Art Therapy Groups – Behind the Scenes”
24th November: “Getting Creative with Trauma – Art and Intergenerational Healing”
In every professional development training intensive, you can expect to:
· engage in art-making and creative processes
· participate in experiential and interpersonal learning
· practice approaches, methods and skills that you can adapt for use in your own work contexts
· receive a collection of three contemporary articles for scintillating further reading.
