WORKSHOP: ADAPTABLE DRAMA FOR ARTS THERAPY
Are you interested in the arts and looking to expand your knowledge? Then you’re in luck because Steve, an experienced performer, director, and producer, is offering a workshop at this year’s Creative Mental Health Forum in May 2024!
With over thirty years of experience in the performance arts, Steve has a wealth of knowledge that he’s excited to share. Since moving to Gippsland in 2003, Steve has been an active member of the arts community, working with various arts-related groups. He has a strong sense of community and has created valuable connections with dancers, musicians, writers, and visual artists through theatre and community-based productions.
During the workshop, Steve will take you through a range of fun drama warm-up activities and theatre sports games. These activities will not only be useful for Arts Therapy practitioners, but they can also be adjusted to suit the needs of diverse allied health practitioners, performers and facilitators. Arts and health practitioner, Rebecca Vandyk-Hamilton, will also be present to provide an arts and health perspective.
Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss the potential these activities can have when working specifically with young people who have varying learning needs.
Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to learn from Steve and Rebecca’s extensive combined experience!
