Facilitator Bio
Samantha Brick is an independent Occupational Therapist who lives and works in the coastal town of Inverloch. She has a holistic approach to her work, which involves using a range of techniques to help children with delayed development, difficulty handwriting, behavioural problems, ADHD, and Autism.
In 1999, Samantha started working with children at a Reverse Integration Kinder and Early Intervention Play Group. She was inspired by the effectiveness of Bean Bag activities and attended a “Movement the Brain and Learning Workshop” run by Brendan O’Hara in 2004. Samantha did three more workshops with Brendan that year, and in order to progress through his levels of workshops, she studied Touch For Health and completed levels 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Impressed with the positive results that Touch For Health offered, Samantha went on to do her Touch for Health Proficiency and became a qualified Touch for Health Instructor in 2006. She has used these techniques in her practice very effectively, and the children themselves, their parents, teachers, and aides have all noticed the positive changes following these activity programs.
Samantha’s ultimate goal is to share these simple and effective techniques with as many people as possible.
Samantha is offering a series of “Move and Learn Funshop” for 4-8-year-olds at the Inverloch Pop-Up ARTC CO this January!
