Have you been thinking about registering for NDIS but not sure where to begin?

Are you confused about the difference between a registered and non-registered provider?

This course provides an overview of the NDIS and the requirements for registration as a sole trader delivering ‘therapeutic supports’. Customised guidelines are provided to support your independent work towards NDIS registration.

Prerequisites:

No prior training or knowledge of NDIS is required for this course. However, you should take into account that professional membership of your professional association is a requirement for NDIS registration. If you require further details for your therapeutic profession, please get in touch.

 

 

Working with NDIS Goals

For registered and non-registered providers

Wednesday 7 July, 10am to 4pm (6 hours CPD)

Cost: $250

 

Working with NDIS Goals will focus on our role in the NDIS planning and review processes, including planning your supports against the NDIS goals, progress reporting, case notes, and related practice values.

 

This course is designed for therapeutic practitioners who are ready to practice for the first time and/or to develop their existing practice. You may have recently applied to register or had your registration approved, or you have started your NDIS practice and would welcome some assistance. This can include non-registered providers who are seeking to work more effectively in the NDIS system.

 

 

Developing your NDIS Practice

For registered and non-registered providers

Friday 30 July, 10am to 4pm (6 hours CPD)

Cost: $250

 

Developing your NDIS Practice will focus on developing your practice in areas related to NDIS obligations (e.g. service agreements, price guide, evidence of delivery), administrative processes (intake, billing, and claiming), and marketing.

 

This course is designed for therapeutic practitioners who are ready to practice for the first time and/or to develop their existing practice. You may have recently applied to register or had your registration approved, or you have started your NDIS practice and would welcome some assistance. This can include non-registered providers who are seeking to work more effectively in the NDIS system.

 

Prerequisites

Working with NDIS Goals is a prerequisite for the course.

This package is designed to support your individual NDIS process, providing a pathway and supporting tools for NDIS registration as a sole trader arts therapist, finding answers to your questions and practical support to help you troubleshoot your barriers to NDIS registration.

o 2 x 1 hour individual instruction by zoom, which can be used in a 2 month period

o Customised guidelines to registration as a sole trader arts therapist, including a step by step checklist to addressing the requirements of the audit o Sample policies and other supporting tools

About Alisoun

Alisoun has over 15 years’ experience in policy, advocacy, operations, training and program development across education, health, legal, public and community services sectors. This includes working for the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO), through which she supported most of VACCHO’s 30 Member organisations to understand and prepare for the NDIS.

Alisoun practices as an NDIS Provider herself, following a qualification in a Masters of Therapeutic Arts Practice in 2018. Crayons and Stuff is her consulting practice, established in 2020 with the aim of integrating Alisoun’s experience and training in the expressive arts with her traditional consulting, training and capacity building skills. She used her time during COVID to launch this online training and coaching program, supporting arts and music therapists prepare for audit against the national NDIS standards. She also completed a business incubator program with Impact Co, strengthening her understanding of the challenges facing start-ups and/or sole traders.
