The Gods in a time of Corona – Bernie Neville’s latest work.

Bernie Neville, author of “Educating Psyche” and “The Life of Things” gifts us this gem of a book complete with wit, wisdom and scholarship. Neville’s own intimate relationship with the Greek gods is revealed in his narrative depicting 2020 as a grand stage on which the gods continue to play out their ancient dramas in response to a global pandemic.

In this drama, the gods’ faces are unmasked, recognisable and disconcertingly familiar

Bernie has been busy! We had a ZOOM chat one evening not so long ago, and he mentioned he’d been writing something.

Then he sent me what he’d been working on… well, how lucky am I????

Of course, I loved it.

I asked him where he was planning to publish.

A few days later, he sent me another version, saying

“I’ve done a bit more work on this paper.
You’re welcome to share it with anyone who is interested
B”

So, I had another read and realised this is a book!

Thankfully I had not long ago registered as a publisher and have a few spare ISBNs lying around unused.

So, here it is – Bernie’s new book! I asked him if he had anything to say to readers, but it was dinner time when I called him and he said,

“No. It’s all in the text.”

So, for those of you who know and love Bernie, here is a little bit of him for you!

For those of you who don’t know him, I expect you might start to love him vicariously through his work.

He is a wonderful mentor and will be receiving this newsletter, so, from all of us Bernie, thanks for gifting us this book.

Love from everyone.

PS if you notice any minor imperfections please let them go through to the keeper. Bernie only had access to a PDF in the last week as he is in a different location to his original text. We will iron out the wrinkles when possible. 🙂
